Why are lilies so dangerous to cats?
ALL parts of true lilies (Lilium and Hemerocallis species) are fatally toxic to cats - including petals, leaves, pollen, and even the water in the vase. Ingestion of even a small amount can cause acute kidney failure within 24-72 hours. There is NO safe amount. If you have cats, never bring lilies into your home.
